of wanting to leave mum's tum ;)
I've never been 'unemployed' before - this will be weird from now on in
!
Got some nice presents from my work colleagues, I sure will miss the fun
banter. Soooo, 2 - 2+ weeks with just me,...

Potentially Bad News by
Crystal Dreamer
We've got a serious problem here. All that cramping I've been having wasn't
ligaments pulling, and it wasn't just "normal" cramping. I'm having pre-term
contractions and possibly pre-term labor. The contractions are about 2
minutes apart. Sometimes they are stronger than others.
So, this might be...

What do you *not* need? by
Donna
A twist on the "what do I need for my baby" threads that have been popping
up lately.
For those who are going into subsequent pregnancies... what did you think
you would need the first time around, that you ended up not using?
For me, my list would be something like:
bottle drying rack (just...

Maternity wear: what is working for me (LONG) by
melizabeth
X posted
I'm a shorty, 5'1" and growing out, not up. Finding maternity wear in
England as an American is a bit challenging for two main reasons:
*The BX has maybe three racks of maternity clothes some of which I would
never put on my body.
*The exchange rate is so bad ($1.89 purchases 1 GBP ),...

R.Sitter
Chloe Gabriella Sitter was born 03/20/04 at 12:31pm, 7lbs 14oz and 19 1/2
inches long. She has TONS of jet black hair.
On Wed, the 17th, I had my regular visit where they did a NST which was
fine, and US and an internal exam. They had thought the baby was going to
be big so they did the US. It...

confusing HPT results by
Mo
I am wondering if other people have run into this problem or have any
thoughts on it: I took my first HPT on Friday, 13 dpo (the day before
I was expecting AF), and it showed a very faint positive PINK line in
about 5-10 minutes. It was very faint, and it was hard to see, but my
DH verified that...

L&D rooms by
Amy
I've noticed in a few posts the mention of separate rooms for labour and
delivery. Is this common?
Here in NZ I'm pretty sure it's standard to have one room for both, and move
mother & baby to post-natal after delivery when they're ready. My local
public hospital is not flash, but consists of rooms...

Didn't know a tubal could reverse itself by
toypup
http://www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2004/03/22/prsa0322.htm
I knew there was a failure rate for tubal ligations, but I didn't know why.
Apparently, some women's bodies can heal and reverse a tubal. Not many, or
it wouldn't be used as birth control, but I find it fascinating.

Pain Med. Question by

I am going to do a search online for this as well but I wanted to know if
anyone has had any experience with an interthecal? Or is it IntraThecal Ok
I don't even know how to spell it so looking it up will be hard. Anyway my
midwife told me that she does those and not epidurals. I had an...

Slightly OT - leaving 5 mo old for a day by

My 8 yr old has a dance competition on the 3rd of April. Up until tonight I
was planning on it being a 2 day affair but I just found out that her team
only performs one of those days. We'd have to leave by 6am to get to the
site by 9am and she has to stay until the awards ceremony that...

I know this ahs got to be a repeat question, but... by
Christine
when packing your bags for the hospital, what all should be in your bag
AND what should be in the babies bag.......
sorry if this question is worn out...;-))
do you need to take the car seat IN the hospital so they can see it, or
do they check it in the car?

sterilizing bottles and water by
Donna
A couple of times in the last few weeks, I've read posts by really reliable
people saying that they sterilize bottles, and boil the water that they use
to make formula. So now I'm wondering if the advice given me by my OB that
it isn't necessary to do so, was not correct. What do you all think. ...

Think this is a good place to raise my concerns since I see a lot of

tired and sleepy I am not throwing up. Neither am I having nausea or
