I don't feel pregnant yet - worrying by
[email protected]
I'm somewhere between 6 and 10 weeks pregnant, and other than fatigue
(which might be due more to my one year old than the pregnancy), I am
yet to feel "pregnant" at all. No nausea, absolutely no breast
tenderness, and I've even lost weight.
With DD, I had breast soreness a couple days before the...

night sweats by
Anonymama
I'm having awful night sweats lately, waking up with the sheets soaking.
I'm on Zoloft, which gave me night sweats when I first started taking
it, but I thought those had stopped.
Are night sweats a pregnancy delight that I skipped the first time
around? I remember sweating a _lot_ after my first...

Gestational Diabetes management questions by
[email protected]
My wife has just been diagnosed with GD, in an otherwise fit, healthy
pregnancy.
I'll be bringing many of these questions to her GD specialty-care team,
but would also like any opinions anyone out there has.
Her post drink sugars on the 3-hour test were slightly high, while the
fasting pre-drink...

i feel like a turtle... by
oregonchick
I had hard times getting out of bed this morning. At 31 weeks, my hips and
low back don't feel like they belong to me anymore! It takes a great deal
of floundering around, twisting and rolling and swing arms and legs to get
upright in the morning. I feel so old! I walk up the stairs and...

And the saga with Mother continues... by
Zaz
Oh well.. I should have known. I always knew, in fact, but it doesn't change
the sore feelings.
You see, DH and I have decided to build a brand new house in a brand new
residential development. The house will be constructed from scratch, we have
chosen a very nice and large site, where we will be...

G'day
I've been pretty quiet since summer because things got pretty busy -
ended up having to make a rushed trip home to Australia with DS to see
my Nana before she died. She was 98 and it was time, and I've been
through the panicked last minute trans-Pacific flight with DS before
(last year) when...

Questions to make you think... by
Jamie Clark
I'm thinking ahead to my 40th birthday "wild women's weekend" gathering in
March, and thinking about a "get to know you" conversation starter type of
thing. I'm thinking of a basket in the middle of the floor with questions
in it. Anyone who wants to can reach into the basket and pull out...

Have you gone into labour when the head was free? by
Andrea S
I have always gone into labour with the head fully engaged, but this time my
baby's head is free and she is high.
Will this make any difference to the length/difficulty of my labour, and
will it affect labour starting as some people say the head stimulates the
cervix?

Annabelle's Birth Story by
Crystal Dreamer
We got to the hospital and got set up in a birthing room. I was having
regular contractions, but nothing real strong, about 6 minutes apart. As 9
am approached, I started to get very nervous, but after awhile it subsided.
I was wheeled into the c-section room and my spinal was started. ...

Sling/Baby Carrier recommendations by
Bryna
I used a Maya wrap sling for my last baby, and while I like it a lot,
it does make my shoulder ache when worn for long periods of time. I
also would like a baby carrier that can be worn under a coat, since I'm
due in December. I'm considering the Podaegi -- has anyone had
experience with that...

TMI sorry! by
Andrea S
I am losing (after a few days of clear discharge) lumps of pale white
rubbery discharge. Is this normal?
When I have lost my plug with the others it was just thin & clear with
streaks of blood.

engaged already? and placenta question by
V.
33 weeks today!
I had my 3hr GTT and it came back fine, although having the test itself was
horrible. Drinking the stuff wasn't bad, it was the ensuing hour where I
was feeling sick and faint and the baby was moving around like I fed it
crack instead of sugar. Not happy about that at all. But,...

hypnobirth and no pushing? by
V.
I just read Marie Mongan's book on HypnoBirthing, and thought it was pretty
good. I can see myself using a lot of the techniques during labor (DH can't
handle going to classes due to social anxiety).
The only thing that really made me go "huh?" was the assertion that pushing
during childbirth is...

First appt tomorrow by
Kmom
I have my first appt tomorrow. I'm about 8 wks give or take a few days.
I have already made one trip to the hospital for IV fluids and Zofran
and lost 10lbs. Now my spotting has turned into full on bleeding-but
it's very dark or brown and no cramping. I'm a bit anxious to see what
the u/s shows...

TTC Update by
Jodi
I haven't posted much, but here I am still TTC after being off the bcp since
March.
I had my annual OB/GYN visit yesterday and it was horrible. It was a doctor
I haven't seen before, and right off the bat I know I'm not going to like
the guy when he refers to his patients as "my ladies". And not...

hard belly? by
KD
Hi folks:
This is my first pregnancy, so I have no idea what's normal and what's
not. Here's my question - does your belly feel HARD when you're
pregnant? I can feel exactly where the baby's house ends and the flab
begins...it feels funny, like I've got a very well-inflated volleyball
in there. ...
