A STUDY that found exclusive breastfeeding may increase a baby's risk of
developing allergies is scientifically flawed, breastfeeding advocates say.
The Australian study released this week...

OT blood clotting by
Anne Rogers
does anyone know anything about this?
I've mentioned on here before that we have taken Nathanael for tests in
relation to him having occasional blood in his urine. I've just been
phoned by the registrar who took blood at our last visit and one of the
tests for clotting took longer than it should...

combi-feeding question by
Stephanie and Tim
Anyone out there done this successfully? I had a miserable time pumping with
my son when I went back to work. I went back to work full time. It was not
until several months later, when the breastfeeding had already been ended,
that I went to part time work 3 days per week. I have to go to a...

Teeth question by
Jodie
DD (almost 9 months) now has seven teeth. For the most part, she has
been very gentle with me while nursing. Aside from a couple of episodes
of clamping down after the teeth came in, followed by mommy's screams,
we are doing OK.
2 questions, though... When she nurses, it feels like her teeth...

latching problem? by
Kristi Silva
Hi. I have a three week old little girl, and I have a question about
breastfeeding. For about half of her feeding things are going just fine,
then she will start to make this "clicking" noise. All I can figure out is
that she is losing suction and then pulling back on really quick. I've...

need source for breast milk storage bags by
V.
Well, my little Madi (10wks) has started daycare and despite the fact that
she generally refused to take a bottle from me or my husband (but would take
one from my mom when I was away), she's doing great with the bottle at
daycare! Although, she will only take it from the head infant teacher...

"random" nursing and breast health by
Dawn Lawson
Ok, I'm starting to accept that DS's nursing interest may not rally, and
that his schedule might be a bit "random" (He nursed twice this
afternoon outside of naptime, unheard of for quite a while now. Nursed
to sleep for nap and bed. Didn't nurse yesterday at all, iirc.)
Do I need to worry about...

Australia's first breastmilk bank opens! by
Engram
This has been a long time coming but it's finally here! Not sure which
hospital, but it's in Perth and has been open since 25th August.
There was an article on it in last week's Who magazine but my copy got
recycled due to a big clean-up prior to a whole lot of family coming over
for Father's...

1 yr old not interested in solids by
sharonx9
My baby girl will be 1 in about 2 weeks :-( The *problem* i'm having is
that she is not interested in solids hardly at all. She will take 2 - 3
bites of something before starting to spit it out and not take anymore. She
wants to nurse a lot. I don't mind the nursing but I really want her...

Kansas NIP by
Karlee in Kansas
Greetings! With all this talk of people being complained to about NIP, I
thought that I'd share my good story, and also let you guys know that I
truly wish that I could bonk some of these people upside their heads when
they tell bf moms to "go to the restroom" or "go elsewhere". They are
wrong,...

Calling all EPers.. by

I salute you. How do you do it??
I think I'll soon be taking your route. The only time my dd is nursing
from me is the middle of the night feedings. Rest of the time she's
not even latching. She just screams outright. It makes me feel like a
failure. but then, I'll accept I'm a failure when I give...

Scientific evidence for breastfeeding by
Akuvikate
I started this in the the thread about the US PSA being changed
because of pressure from the formula companies, but since it's kind of
long and off-topic thought it made more sense to start a new thread.
Not that anyone asked :-), but IMO the only gold-standard scientific
evidence about the...

Just wondering, for those of you who are nursing toddlers, do you continue
to do so on request or did you set limits at some proscribed time?
