Odd abdominal pain by
Kmom
I'm 33 weeks pregnant and have been dealing with this pain for a couple
weeks now.
It's not uterine (at least I really don't think so), it seems to be
muscular.
My abdomen (an area about the size of my hand above my belly button)
burns like I've done 100 sit ups. It hurts and has that awful...

For all moms, Grandmothers, and moms-to-be by
julie MT
Someone send this to me. Bring a joyful tear to my eye, I thought of
all the moms, gandmothers, and moms-to-be. So this is for all of you to
enjoy!
Before I was a Mom I slept as late as I wanted and never worried
about how late I got into bed.
I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.
Before I...

OT Maternity Wedding Dress by
lucy-h
Hi all
I just wanted to share a happy moment :)
Beloved and I are getting married on the 15th April. For a little while I
was adamant that I wasn't going to get a proper wedding dress, and that the
money would be better spent on the baby, not on a dress for one day.
However, my girlie side came...

strange dreams by
lucy-h
Hi all
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience...
I have narcolepsy, so I have vivid dreams anyway. Since I have been
pregnant, I have dreamt about the baby and pregnancy, which I think is
probably normal.
However, the last few nights, I have dreamt that I can see the baby...

What baby swings worked for everyone here? I know the new baby may not

Alright, I think I might be feeling pregnant now... by
xkatx
I've thrown up now 4 times in the last 5 days or so...
First time, I was standing outside in the parking lot... DH was hooking some
stuff up in the car and I started coughing and threw up... Might be TMI,
buuut... I blamed getting sick on coughing.
Second time, 2 days later, similar experience...

when did I ovulate? by
RockyCoast
Hello,
I have a bit of a dumb question but hopefully someone can help. Get out
your calendars, ladies. I got my period Friday, March 31 late in the
evening, like 8 p.m.. It was spotty but went to full flow over night.
Question 1: do I count March 31 as "day one" of my period, even though
it was...

Kicking Babies by
LietoFine
Hi everyone,
I was talking to my DH last night and telling him... I really have to
wonder about the phrase "the baby just kicked". Frankly, this baby
almost never kicks. She pushes... methodically and very hard. "Hmm...
I think I'll push my foot out over here for a while. Now I think...

What's the recommended water consumption for pregnant women these days? by
cjra
I just figured out I drink at least 3.5L, or nearly 1 gallon (3.76L I
think), every day.
I crave it, so I drink it and obviously need that, but wonder how
normal that is? I rarely drink much else though - occassionally (1x/wk)
iced tea at lunch, soy milk with cereal for breakfast and 2 glasses...

Now I'm nervous... by
LietoFine
So yesterday we had our first of two childbirth education classes. Not
too much that I hadn't already read, but boy did I get thrown for a
loop. The instructor had us do an exercise to "practice having a
contraction". Put your hand in a bowl of ice water for 1 minute, then
a different time for...

Breech @ 33 Weeks by
Jennin
I just came from my regular doctors appointment and was told that my baby is
in a breech position. This is my second pregnancy and my first was head down
by this point. I'm starting to get a little worried that the baby may not
turn head down and I'll end up having to get a c-section, which I...

Wife's "Flutters" Ceasing While Sick by
My wife is pregnant, estimated at around 9 weeks. She had been feeling
"flutters" but the last day or so has been coughing and sick. Since then the
flutters have stopped. She fears this means she is miscarrying and even has
the notion that the coughing is the cause.
Is this a normal thing, or...

thoughts? could my problems be nerve damage, or epidural damage? by
Anne Rogers
Ok, my postnatal physical issues are fairly complex, but one thing I've not
thought they could be are nerve problems, it all just feels sore and achy,
not shooting at all.
Anyway, DH was on the phone to his mum last night, and she said she though
that it was nerve damage from the epidural, I was...

Belly measurement by
Nikki
Wow! I keep forgetting to ask what mine is but finally remembered
yesterday. Does everyone have their uterus/belly measured in the last half
of pregnancy? I always have. The measurement should be similar to the
number of weeks pregnant you are. I'm 36 weeks (so would typically be
around 36...

About 5 minutes ago marked the *3rd* comment in 2 days about how I must
be 'counting
down the days' and 'getting close.' I have *15* more weeks to go (more
or less) before
this kid kicks his/her way into the world!!!
As of last week I measured just fine. Midwife just said it seemed I had
