Adoption Update by
Jamie Clark
Well, we've finished all of our legal paperwork, and have a court date to
finalize Addie's adoption! Wednesday, March 23rd, by about 9am, she'll be
all ours, forever! I'm so excited! Addie is doing great, and is such a
little character. She's 5.5 months old, and so strong, and can sit up...

Essure 0, Angela's Super Fertility.... by

Mercy help me, despite having my fallopian tubes successfully blocked (or so
we thought - I had the dye study to prove it!) 18 months ago using the
Essure implants...
Yep. I'm pregnant.
I had an ultrasound today which showed a 'very early' intrauterine
pregnancy, too small to see a fetal...

My freind and HELLP by
JennP
Thankfully she had two very healthy baby girls on Saturday. 5.b3oz and 5lb
and they were 35 weeks gestation. They were hoping that she could make it
one more week or she wouldn't have to be sent to Boston but she did (lives
on Cape Cod).
She had HELLP with her first baby and while he was fine and...

People are funny, just had to share by
Shelley
People are starting to get nervous around me and it's kind of funny.
I am still working and and today a fellow I've met a number of times
who is a distributer we deal with visited my work with a representative
of a brand the distributor sells. I started to stand to greet them but
they told me to...

31 week check-up (good and a little nervous-making) by
Melania
I think my due date is May 21, based on ovulation, and my doc is going
by LNMP, coming up with a due date of May 17. She acknowledges that my
dates are probably right, she's just following procedure. So, according
to her calculation, yesterday was my 31 week appt.
Weight was good - I gained 9 lbs...

Shiny's birth story by
Jenrose
Monday night, I went to sleep grappling with the fact that at 41 w 3 d pg,
it felt like my body was just "done" and that baby was wanting to come out,
but that labor wasn't kicking in. A day or two prior I'd bought castor oil
and left it in the cupboard. That night I took a teaspoon to see...

cramping in early pregnancy by
J
Is it normal to have continuous cramping pains in early pregnancy? I'm 6
weeks and today and am having really achy cramping pain in my lower abdomen
all day today. I never get cramps during my period so not sure if this is
the same type of cramp but guess it probably is.
I know that the uterus...

level II u/s at 32 weeks by
[email protected]
I just got my level II u/s now at 32 weeks because I did not have
insurance coverage at 20 weeks. No signs of any problems, and baby is
measuring spot on just like my first 2 kids did, pretty good for a
diabetic who controls her own insulin/blood sugar levels.
I did not have my blood sugar under...

Hospital Visit Last Night by
chonni
Hi All
I felt really strange all day yesterday like my hips were aching and
it felt like my perineum was being stretched to the max, I thought it
might have been from the pelvic rocks that I started doing this week
as a previous post had said that pelvic rocks were good when the baby
is engaged...

infant screeching normal? by
Zen Cohen
In the last few days, our 4 1/2 month old little girl has taken to
screeching much of her waking hours. She doesn't appear to be in the least
bit of distress; rather, she just seems to be entertaining herself by
listening to her own newly found voice. Is this typical? It's really cute,
but when...

AFP results :) by
Emily
I had to call my OB's office to pester them. It seems
the lab had the results, but hadn't sent them to the OB
yet, but they called when I pestered them and got them.
So, the summary is: normal.
In more detail:
Risk of Down's: 1 in 17,000
Risk of NTDs: 1 in 4,900
