new pregnancy question by
kalillymama
I ovulated over the weekend and we're ttc but my abdomen already feels
tender and I feel so swollen "down there" I thought I had a normal period
a few weeks ago - but I feel pregnant already - should I take a test even
though my period is a week and a half away?

Friend assisting: when is the right time... by
Zaz
.... to call her?
I have asked my dearest friend Diane to assist me and DH during our baby's
delivery. She agreed with a great show of positive emotions. My midwife has
no problem with that, but she suggests I don't call my friend "too early
on". What IS "too early on"? Diane says she doesn't...

Yikes... by
Plissken
I gained 4 lbs in 4 weeks and I'm only 20 weeks along! Better lay off of
those sweets! Although I hadn't gained anything prior to that. Came as a bit
of a shocker though after hardly gaining anything the previous months.

Bringing baby home from hospital by
Steve and/or Erin
I have ben debating what to dress her in. Would a onesie, layette nightgown
and a blanket be enough for mid-November in the Northeast? The temps could
be as low as 20 degrees. I don't want to overdress her as I am afraid of her
suffocating in the car seat. I have a bunting, but even though it...

Arrghh!! My fingers don't work!!! by
Donna Metler
Based on the tests, I know it's just edema, not PE, but I'm really getting
annoyed with the swelling in my hands. It's not nearly what I had last time,
but it's just enough that my joints don't bend right (and hurt!) and when I
try to do fine stuff, or even something like opening a soda bottle,...

Kiddy Guard? by
Jonty Yamisha
I recently purchased a Kiddy Guard (mesh-based child gate that rolls
up like a window shard when not in use), only to find that it is just
a little too short to cover the span it was intended for.
Does anyone know whether there is a longer-span version of the Kiddy
Gard that I can buy?...

Diaper rash advice needed by
Wendy
Nolan has some pretty serious diaper rash. :( I change his diaper often
and apply Desitin before putting on a new diaper, which isn't helping at
all. I have also tried Johnson's 3-in-1 and Vaseline, neither helped. He
never had diaper rash until he was 12 months old (he is almost 15 months
now) and...

Weeks don't correspond with LMP by
Josana
Hello,
Today I went to my third ultrasound. The first two were intravaginal
but this one, because it was performed by midwife, was abdominal. None
of the three were spectacularly clear, something to do with the shape
of my uterus. Anyway, on the second ultrasound we were told I was 7.6
weeks, even...
