The number of people catching measles across Scotland has reached a
12-year high, according to latest National Health Service (NHS)
figures. Doctors believe there is a link between a low take-up of the
controversial MMR [measles-mumps-rubella] vaccine and the rise in
outbreaks of measles.

A total of 26 people caught measles in Scotland in 2006, the highest
number of infections recorded in any year since 1994 -- when the 2nd
dose of MMR vaccine was introduced. There was a cluster of measles
outbreaks in the Lothians [the district surrounding the capital
--Edinburgh] in 2006 but none in recent months. Take-up of the MMR
vaccine in south Edinburgh is the lowest in mainland Scotland with
one in 5 children still not being immunised by the time they are 6
years old. In the rest of the city, one child in 10 is not immunised.

Parents in Edinburgh have today been warned they risk causing measles
and mumps outbreaks. Dr Harry Burns, Scotland's chief medical
officer, said: "Outbreaks in Scotland in recent months have occurred
in communities where MMR uptake is low."

Eruptive diseases are good for the immune system. They help the body
detoxify. Care should be taken not to suppress the fever, not to let
the patient catch a cold and that diet is very simple and plain. In no
case is the eruptions to be suppressed.

You can get the same benefits, that is immunity to a disease, through
vaccination with very little risk, no days off from school and work.

And isn't smallpox an erruptive disease? That is not good for the immune
system.

They help the body
detoxify.

Name the specific toxins released by the body. Please don't include vomiting
and diarrhea. These will come out anyway, although more slowly, if one
doesn't have measles.

Care should be taken not to suppress the fever,

If a child is immunized, there won't be a fever.

the patient catch a cold

I thought colds were good for the immune system.

Besides, with the vaccine, there is no measles illness.

It sounds like the disease is worse that you let on.

With vaccines, no dietary changes are needed. And there are no erruptions to
worry about.

How do you explain that the kids who are getting measles weren't vaccinated
and those who are staying healthy were vaccinated?

Please don't give us crap about diet and nutrition and living conditions.
The parents who are taken in by the antivaccine crap are often better
educated than those who aren't taken in.
