I tried.

I really did.
I had my u/s today. All seems to look fine. Technician told me baby is
measuring to be 19w6d today. She also said that baby's estimated weight
would be around 12oz. lol That doesn't seem like much of a weight to me,
but she said baby's growing perfectly and everything looks good.
She did the measurements and whatever it is they do then gave me a little
tour. I was able to see a tiny little black hole for a stomach. And had a
perfect view of the heart - which she told me she could see all 4 chambers
perfectly. Saw a face and that's a little ugly, IMO... It's all bones and
skeletal looking. I saw a big yawn, or maybe a big drink. Legs were curled
up against the tummy. One fist was on its chest, the other hand was open
and on the back of the head. I saw a brain (whew! Thank the heavens it has
a brain, seeing as genetics seem to point towards a lack of brains sometimes
around here LOL) I also thought seeing a spine was really, really cool.
Head is down, and cooperation wasn't exactly there for the most part to get
a nice profile shot, but that's alright.
So, after everything was pretty much all said and done, she told me
everything looks good. At this point, *I* was doing soooo good... Then I
broke. I asked if she was able to tell what it is LOL I really, really
tried soooo hard to not ask, but I couldn't help myself.
She took another look - said she actually didn't even look to see when she
was doing everything. Before she even looked again, I told her I already
knew it was a girl anyways. Turns out it's most likely a girl. She said
she couldn't tell for sure, but she was pretty sure it's a girl and not a
surprise boy hiding his parts. ;) So... looks like yet another girl. Poor
DS is going to be very, very disappointed LOL
In all honesty, I guess I might be a tad disappointed (for finding out - I
was really trying hard to not ask lol - and for another girl.) but maybe
that's even better with yet another girl. I have TONS of DDs' clothes.
Literally bins upon bins of clothes. Not very much as far as unisex or boys
stuff goes... DS will be 8 when this one comes around, so it's been a long
while since I was finally able to part with DS's baby clothes and pass them
on to someone else. Also, 3 girls fairly close in age... Whoa... 3 that are
3 and under... Yikes... might be alright. For them, I mean, not for me. lol
I guess that's about it now. I realize I have very, very little self
control. Ha.

Hehehe :) Congratulations on a little girl though - I was thinking that this
year, *every* pregnant person I know or have spoken to is expecting a boy,
and I thought to myself 'I wonder if Kat *is having a girl' lol, so at least
you get to be unique ;)

It's the hormones eh ;-)

If I get to that point, I do want to know this time. Mainly for
practical reasons, like sorting out the clothes and things we still
have. And we had a hell of a time finding names for boys the previous
times, so we need a head start on that :-)

Glad to know that things are going well for you!
