Quick update
Life in Vegas is busy...
I am working full-time again. I work for a Property Management Company. For all you Americans that are familiar with Homeowner Associations, I'm the evil girl that sends you the letter that says mow your yard. I'll be a manager by October when my license comes in. This will give me a more flexible schedule so I can finish school. :D! The kidlet is doing fine. School is a challenge, he has struggled this year. Florida education system sucks BAD! They teach cursive in THIRD grade here, so he was an entire year behind in writing AND he's a lefty so it was hard at first. He's catching up and doing well. My hubby is the sound engineer for the new show at the Sahara Casino "Saturday Night Fever". It's the Broadway play staying at the Sahara, just like "Mama Mia" is staying somewhere. I don't go to The Strip much, it just isn't me. I've met a lot of like minded women here and we've become fast friends. We've even started a book club of sorts. This month is The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. I highly recommend it. It's the story of Dinah told from her point of view. Dinah was the son of Jacob, who was the father of the 12 tribes of Israel. Interesting story. Very woman oriented. The Red Tent is the tent the women went to during their monthly. Very very touching book. I'm growing stronger in my own Path and enjoying myself more and more. I'm stronger mentally and emotionally than I've been in years. I like me again. :D! Physically I'm doing okay. I still have migraines, but I'm on medication and it's working for the most part. That's me in a nutshell. I'll try to come out to play more in the future! miss you all! I truly do! love, *bri |

It is so good to see you online again. We now have a lot in common.
Last November 17 a city bus ran a red light and plowed into my car. I was thrown against the windshield and hit the back of my head against the driver's side window. My Ford Taurus was destroyed and I have horrible migraines and paqrtial seizures about every 5 minutes on the right side of my brain. It feels like a worm wiggles in my right eyebrow! I also have upper back and shoulder pain that hurts all the time and my right jaw has TMD which hurts and pops and is just not aligned properly. I was thinking a lot about you and how you survived your car crash and now I can relate all too well to the slow recovery and how it just alienates you from fast-moving modern society. I just can't keep up likei used to. I take naps and walk my dog and hang out with my girlfriend and read a lot but only a little at a time. I don't watch tv because it hurts my head, all that light and all those colors. I was taking Elavil to prevent the migraines but it made me so sleepy. I'm off everything except Paxil for the depression and feeling great! My son is in foster care and doing fantastic. I also found a great church that is supportive of my spiritual beliefs since my near-death experience, the Unitarian Universalist church. I feel better about myself than I have in a long time. My 30's have been good to me too! I'm glad to hear you so happy and still in school. I plan to use the bus accident money (when I finally get a settlement) to buy a REALLY safe car and togo back to school. Aain, it's good to see you Brianne. Sorry to hear so many terrible things have happened. My friend has mild seizures on one side of his brain as well...I forget what they gave him, but it seemed to help.Sometimes accidents can trigger fibromyalgia. Walking helps as I have this along with lupus. How old is your son now????? Good luck and prayers your way. V |
