Online Net safety, I apologise if this is FAQ's or OT
If anyone can recommend softwares for screening or monitoring the internet,
our 11 year old boy will be online with a cable connection next week. I've heard of net nanny, that's about as far as my knowledge goes. Basic safety in firewalls and AV protection I'm up to speed on. I apologize if this is off topic, or if there's a better suited NG, but I found in the past folks very helpful here... Thanks, NeilN |

First line of defense: placement of the computer in an area with high adult presence likely. Examples include living room, kitchen, family room. This allows supervision without necessarily being obvious about it. I'll let others speak to the soft ware issues as I do not know a whole lot about that, yet. -Aula, mom to DS8 -- see my creative works on ebay under http://snurl.com/369o and on zazzle at http://snurl.com/38oh |

Thanks for responses, that website looks like it has a lot of info.
Cheers, NeilN -- In the beginning there was a bass. It was a Fender, probably a Precision, but it could have been a Jazz - nobody knows. Anyway, it was very old ... definitely pre-C.B.S. http://www.papabear.com/bassbook.html "Elana Kehoe" wrote in message ...
