Hi -

My seven year old son's permanent incisor is erupting in front of his
still stubborn baby tooth.

What's conventional wisdom on this nowadays? Professional
extraction? Let it be?

That's what had to be done with one of our son's baby teeth. It just would
not let go without professional help. We were told that leaving it in could
lead to various and assundry problems, all of which we did not want to
endure. Check with your pediatric dentist to see what they recommend.

My son had permanent teeth growing in behind the baby teeth. His dentist
pulled the baby teeth.
