Default Darn it. Why can't they be sick

at the doctor's office? DS spent the entire day wheezing. I kept giving
breathing treatments and inhalers every half hour to 2 hours. Despite that,
he was still breathing hard and wheezing. When he awoke from his nap, he
was still wheezing. I got him into the car and went to the doctor's office
who declared he wasn't wheezing at all. The doctor said it was a miracle.
He bases his treatment plan on the fact that DS is not wheezing, despite the
fact that he was wheezing all day. Darn it. Why can't he wheeze when I
need him to? At least he had some crackles, so the doctor is treating for
pneumonia. And I got some more Prelone, just in case he starts wheezing
again. I don't think he was convinced DS was wheezing, though. I told the
doctor it must be that all those treatments I gave him finally kicked in.
This always happens. They get better as soon as they hit the doctor's
office and they get sick again as soon as they get home.

Lol - our ped actually *expects* that to happen, and I think at least
has (in jest) suggested making an appointment simply to get the
"feeling better at the doc's office" phenomenon to happen!
