The teachers' unions believe in educating by age, and
ignoring ability. Despite what the hyperegalitarians
say, the distributions of mental abilities in different
neighborhoods are RADICALLY different, which is the
main reason why there are good schools and bad schools.

For whatever reason, those in the African-American group
do worse academically than the whites and especially the
Asians, and the dumbing down of courses to the level of
those in the class means that the students in the lower
performing districts, mainly because of ability, learn
less than those in the good districts.

Children should not be in school with their age peers,
but with their ability peers. The teachers' unions are
completely opposed to this, as the small children of
high ability understand subjects better than the poorly
TRAINED teachers. One needs education to understand, and
no amount of training, even good training, can in any
way compensate for it.
