Yup, happened to me on my first day of trying to induce with DS (at 15
days past due, no less!). They kept cranking up the dosage, and nothing
happened all day. Fortunately I declined to let them break my water, so
they just shut it off at the end of the day, and we started up again the
next day, at which point it worked better. (Although I still had a
19-hour labor before DS was born - I'm hoping that #2 will be a little
more interested in coming out!)
