Default HPT Question

Is it possible to be 3 months pregnant and have a HPT come back as a negative?

If you test 3 months after your last encounter and it comes back negative would
that be 100% accurate?

Basically I'm asking at what point would an HPT be 100% accurate?

Thanks for any help on this.

They're never 100% accurate. After 16 weeks, the hCG level drops dramatically.
The lower limit of 'normal' is pretty low, close to nil. You may just be
experiencing the drop a few weeks early. Still, you're far enough along that
your doctor should be able to detect a heartbeat with a doppler... when is your
next appointment?
