never thought about patriarchy, but did see a matriarchal culture in Mexico
where the men and women seemed to have swopped roles, men were considered
pretty useless and women sat around smoking!

maybe patriarchy is the old name for pathocracy, as there are plenty of men
who don't seek to dominate etc.
