Before today, I did not give much thought to this topic. Coincidences
happen. Several years ago I worked for a big corporation, and once in a
while was getting emails intended for another guy who had the same first
and last name (in another building in the same state). So I thought it
was
quite possible that there are 2 people named Mark Probert: one a
disbarred lawyer who lived in Merrick, NY in 1992 and another a Usenet
poster and a member of "ratbag team"
(http://www.ratbags.com/posse/whoarewe.htm; by the way the list includes
many of the regular posters in this group). There seemed to be no
connection between the two. Jan's page at
http://www.humanticsfoundation.com/p...stprobert.html did not
provide any evidence linking the two.

Then I looked closer. And holy sh!t, it is true!

In 1995 Mark Probert the poster also lived in Merrick, NY. He may or may
not live elsewhere now but it does not matter.

was posted by a Mark Probert on 9/18/95. We see that the poster lives in
"Merrick, Lange Eyland, New York", Lange Eyland meaning "Long Island" as
everybody familiar with New York metro area geography will easily guess.
The poster had a 7 years old son with cerebral palsy (my condolences,
Mark. Do not take it personally. I would never post this information had
it not been for your lies).

So, we have the same small town and the same birth year, in addition to
first and last name. Must be the same person.

Again, my apologies for exposing you, Mark. Not all disbarred lawyers

despicable beings. Just look at Bill Clinton (readers!!! please!!! no
comments on that in this group!!!) But with your denials you asked for
that.

You and others may accuse me of lots of things, like hiding behind a
fictitious name and email address while turning someone's personal
information posted in a support group against him. I am not going to
reply
to that. If exposing a liar requires doing nasty things so be it. It is
better than not to do it and let him lie, again, again and again.
