Who are you? This is ridiculous. She's pregnant, not nursing. She has
no fever or flu symptoms (or she would have mentioned them). It's not
mastitis. Go stir up trouble elsewhere.


though you can get mastitis whilst pregnant, it is very rare. I definitely
had a plugged duct in my 2nd pregnancy when I wasn't nursing, thankfully I
spotted it and found a white spot on the nipple, got rid of it and the duct
cleared, but that could have turned into mastitis. What Donna has just
sounds like extreme but normal breast pain in pregnancy. The good news is
that it will likely improve as the pregnancy continues and shouldn't be a
problem by the time it comes to breastfeeding.
