Default In end, Potter magic extends only so far: Decline still seen in adolescent reading

The New York Times is echoing this same information in its article
"Potter Magic Has Limited Effects on Youngsters' Reading Habits," in
July 11.

In the article many students are shown to have become jaded and have
more options for recreation on their plates. This may be explained by
the fact that the first book came out in 1996 and third, fourth and
fifth graders who read it are now 19, 20 and 21.
