Default Breast Pump

Any recommendations for breast pumps.. My daughter in law would like
to get one to use for our 4 month old grandson who seems that a tooth
will be appearing shortly. I presume an electric one would be easier
and am wondering if any one has suggestions.. We really dont want the
most expensive but want one that will work . thanks so much

You don't say how frequently she wants to use it, if she's wanting to
pump an occasional bottle, then a hand pump would be just fine and
potentially better than a cheap electric pump, my personal
recommendation is the Avent Isis. If she's wanting to pump quite a bit
if she's going back to work then she probably will want a double
electric, the common suggestions for that are Medela Pump in Style, or
Ameda Purely Yours - the 2nd seems to be cheaper, but the first more
widely available, Avent have brought out one based on the Isis, but I
haven't heard much about it, there are also some with different features
that are less mainstream, such as the Whisperwear, which is very
discreet. If she's wanting to entirely pump for him (and as she's
breastfed him so far, I can't see why she'd want to do this, teeth are
not a barrier to breastfeeding), then she'd probably need to hire a
hospital grade breast pump, some people do manage with the ones
mentioned above.

Cheers
