Default foster mother competent to stand trial on charges she abused a child, including stabbing her eyes.

What a relief for the agency!
Instead of approving and protecting a complete friggin mental case
for ten years, they approved and protected a friggin
CRIMINAL CHILD ABUSER because they see Fosters
as their allies.

Don't you think it takes a complete SICKO to poke a kids
eyes with needles?

How come the Foster application process didn't
catch somebody sick enough to poke needles
into a kids eyes?

Do they need to make that a question on the
Foster application form?

"Do you ever feel compelled to do sadistic things to children?"

"Do you ever have the urge to stick needles into a childs eyes?"

Just imagine the law suits they could avoid!

Which BUREAUCRAT thought they were helping the
agencies by dead ending the 16 reports of abuse?

A King County judge finds a local foster mother competent to stand trial

A South Sound woman charged with two counts of assaulting and torturing
her foster daughter - including stabbing the child's eyes with
hypodermic needles - was found competent Monday to stand trial.

King County Superior Court Judge Palmer Robinson ruled Chornice Lewis
competent after examining a psychological evaluation conducted at
Western State Hospital. Contents of the evaluation are confidential;
Robinson ordered it sealed from public view.

Lewis, 33, clad in a red jail jumpsuit, said little during the brief
hearing, apart from nodding when the judge asked whether she would
accept a continuance of the trial date, now set for Sept. 25.

The finding of competency returned her to the King County Jail. She
spent most of the last year at Western State, after she was ordered to
undergo a competency evaluation.

A story in Sunday's News Tribune - "Tortu The state fails a young
girl" - described Lewis' 10-year stint as a licensed foster mother and
the treatment endured by her foster daughter, now 16.

Records from the state Department of Social and Health Services show the
girl was abused for years, and never removed from Lewis' home, despite
16 complaints of abuse and neglect reported to the state by neighbors,
teachers and police.

The girl was rescued from Lewis' home in January 2006, following the
16th and final complaint. Subsequent medical examinations revealed a
host of injuries, including blunt-force trauma to the child's hands and
feet, burns, fractures and blindness in one eye.

In an internal review of the Lewis case, completed in February, DSHS
leaders blamed "a system breakdown" for the failure to protect the girl.
No DSHS employees associated with the Lewis case faced discipline as a
result of the review.

How to help

Several readers who responded to Sunday's story about the Chornice Lewis
case asked how to send aid or comfort to the unnamed young woman at the
center of the story.

The News Tribune does not have direct access to the girl or her new
foster parent - the information is not a public record, and the state
Department of Social and Health Services has not revealed it.

Monday, the newspaper gave the agency questions from readers who wanted
to know how to help.

DSHS spokeswoman Kathy Spears said readers could donate to an
organization called Tree House, which helps all children in foster care
with extras and clothing. Here is a link to the Tree House Web site:www.treehouse4kids.org/about/news.htm.

CURRENTLY CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES VIOLATES MORE CIVIL RIGHTS ON A
DAILY BASIS THEN ALL OTHER AGENCIES COMBINED INCLUDING THE NATIONAL
SECURITY AGENCY/CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY WIRETAPPING PROGRAM....

CPS Does not protect children...
It is sickening how many children are subject to abuse, neglect and even
killed at the hands of Child Protective Services.

every parent should read this .pdf from
connecticut dcf watch...

http://www.connecticutdcfwatch.com/8x11.pdf

http://www.connecticutdcfwatch.com

Number of Cases per 100,000 children in the US
These numbers come from The National Center on
Child Abuse and Neglect in Washington. (NCCAN)
Recent numbers have increased significantly for CPS

*Perpetrators of Maltreatment*

Physical Abuse CPS 160, Parents 59
Sexual Abuse CPS 112, Parents 13
Neglect CPS 410, Parents 241
Medical Neglect CPS 14 Parents 12
Fatalities CPS 6.4, Parents 1.5

Imagine that, 6.4 children die at the hands of the very agencies that
are supposed to protect them and only 1.5 at the hands of parents per
100,000 children. CPS perpetrates more abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse
and kills more children then parents in the United States. If the
citizens of this country hold CPS to the same standards that they hold
parents too. No judge should ever put another child in the hands of ANY
government agency because CPS nationwide is guilty of more harm and
death than any human being combined. CPS nationwide is guilty of more
human rights violations and deaths of children then the homes from which
they were removed. When are the judges going to wake up and see that
they are sending children to their death and a life of abuse when
children are removed from safe homes based on the mere opinion of a
bunch of social workers.

BE SURE TO FIND OUT WHERE YOUR CANDIDATES STANDS ON THE ISSUE OF
REFORMING OR ABOLISHING CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES ("MAKE YOUR CANDIDATES
TAKE A STAND ON THIS ISSUE.") THEN REMEMBER TO VOTE ACCORDINGLY IF THEY
ARE "FAMILY UNFRIENDLY" IN THE NEXT ELECTION...
