BTDT. DS1 was a bit older, though -- he was 4 when DS2 was born. No, a
well-nourished mother can BF while pregnant without any problems. However, it
is prudent to look carefully at your diet. Try not to subsist on Hungry Jacks
and Coke! You will feel better if you eat plenty of fruit and veg and lean
meats, etc etc.

Hydration is likely to be your biggest issue, especially over summer -- not
only do you have to supply your own needs, but the amniotic fluid changes over
IIRC every 48 hours, and your toddler will probably request more drinks too.
Keep a water bottle handy at all times, and stay cool.

The biggest problem I had was that in the second trimester, my nipples became
tender -- and little kids can be a bit rough. Sometimes, I had to say "That's
enough," but that's easier with a 3yo than a toddler. But you may not even
have this -- not everyone does.
