are there any that you can take, either herbal, over the counter or

You can try benedryl-it's in a lot of over the counter sleep aids, and if
you get just the allergy tablets you can more closely limit the dosage (my
OB requested that I start with 25 mg (the children's size dose) and then
move up by 25's to the 100 mg standard adult dose if I needed to take it).
