Default night weaning -- a big headache!!

Oh really? I thought nursing every 3 hours was regular. Anyway She has
solids twice everyday. Apart from that she has snacks(finger foods ...
small cookies that Gerber has...) now and then.... She mainly nurses
for comfort and sucking needs,(Like when she wakes up after afternoon
nap, she wants to nurse even if she isnt hungry) and i supplement her
with formula as well once a day. Isnt feeding her with solids twice a
day not sufficient?

Well considering a newborn will eat every 2-3 hours, it seems a bit much for
an 11-month-old. I would up the solids, twice a day does not sound like a
lot to me. My girls were eating pretty much everything we were eating at
that age. I would at least aim for three meals and then two snacks and then
nurse in between that. Once they hit a year, nursing/formula doesn't have to
be their main food source, you can feed them solids and then give them
formula or breast milk. At night, if you want to wean, then start comforting
her in other ways like patting her back or give her a cup of water in a
sippy cup.
