A variety of articles with forged Approved and From lines have been spammed
to newsgroups across Usenet, including misc.kids.moderated. Some old
net.vandalism software appears to have been revived for this attack. The
actual target of the attack is the newsgroup to which the forgery set the
Followup-To: news.admin.net-abuse.email.

Cancel messages are automatically issued for all forged articles, but many
news servers no longer process cancellations. For those who still see these
forgeries on their news provider's spool, the best response is to ignore
them. Net.spamfighters are already pursuing the source of the abuse.
