Default All in the best interest of the children

So where was the hero government for this child's best interest?

The government screws up almost everything they try to do for the best
interest of children.

In my state a child of two illegal aliens who are now deceased was taken
into foster care. The child is an anchor baby. The foster care parents
wanted to adopt him. The state said "no" to the adoption and ordered he be
sent to Mexico to live with his Mexican citizen grandmother since she is his
closest living relative. The Governor stepped in and got DHS to reverse its
decision so the boy could stay in the U.S. and be adopted.

Now we have a precedent in my state that allows anchor babies to be adopted
and not have to return to Mexico to live with their nearest relative. This
decision takes the PRUCOL court decisions to allow aliens to remain in the
U.S. to raise U.S. citizen children to the next level. Apparently it is in
the best interest of the child to be separated from their blood relatives
just so they can live in the U.S. with whoever the state appoints as their
replacement parents.
