I had a similar start to my current pregnancy and am doing ok now - I
will be taking the extra progesterone through the entire first
trimester. My levels actually dropped and then went back up. We saw a
heartbeat at 6 weeks and are praying for the best - I'm 9 weeks along
now. Ericka is right on the comparative data - it will tell you a lot
more than the initial levels. Tell your wife to be prepared for some
heavy side effects from the progesterone - they are basically the same
as pregnancy symptoms but seem (at least for me) to have more highs and
lows.
