Default 2 yr old, plane trip, and broken foot-any suggestions?

My usual strategy is to take as little as possible to the airport. I
find it very stressful to rely on special arrangements involving so
many other people. Getting a wheelchair and someone to push it;
getting a ride on a people mover cart: I have used these methods,
when traveling with someone who needed assistance, and usually we
would have managed better on our own. If you and your DH enjoy
receiving personal service, you might like this, but if you'd rather
not deal with porters and pushers then simply travel light.

We ship as much as we can, and carry only what we must have until the
shipped stuff arrives. Sometimes we carry little more than a change
of underwear and some food to eat on the plane. And the car seats.
Sigh.

Good luck with your DH's job interview! DC can be a very nice place
to live, if the job comes with a salary that is commensurate with the
cost of housing.
