Foster Parent Faces Measure 11 Charge
KATU TV
Don't miss the VIDEO

I still want to know how DHS managed to conduct their 30-day reviews of this
situation and over all the time this poor little girl has been with these
creatures, they managed to miss every possible clue to trouble.

If the DHS-certified foster parents are being charged with M-11 crimes, so
ought be the DHS caseworker, their supervisor, and the branch manager.

Of course, like Ashley and Miranda's case, the DHS agents will get away without
even the slightest bit of accountability for their actions. --Tom

Having been a foster parent myself I have some insight into this. DHS pays very
little attention to the kids in their care. If this little girl was not having
family visits there is a good chance that no DHS worker has seen her since the
visits stopped. Just because there is a rule that they are supposed to visit
the foster home every 30 days does not mean all (or even most) of the workers
do this. I've had kids in my care in which it was months before I even met the
worker. In one case I had a little boy for 14mos and the worker never came to
my home.

Most of the people who become foster parents want to help what they are led to
believe are abandoned and abused children. Most quit after a fairly short time
because they see the agency abuse of the children, their families and the
foster families as well. Others see it as a way to make an income and stay home
at the same time. Many of the kids are disturbed because they are ripped from
their parents, given to complete strangers and these strangers see their
distraught behavior as disobedience and find them to be a pain.

The system of removing a child because of an allegation and going all out to
prove it needs to stop. This little girl should have her mommy at her side in
the hospital.
