Milk protects kids from asthma
Interesting results, which should hearten those of use who know the
anti-cholesterol message to be a false one. It should also be noted that to gain the benefit of full cream milk, it should be un-homogenised. The process of homogenation breaks down the indigestable protein casein into tiny chunks which can then pass through the bowel wall (it would normally pass straight through the gut), causing all sorts of problems and requiring large amounts of energy to remove it. All skimmed and semi-skimmed milks (and many full cream milks, too) are homogenised. Brian www.all-natural-health-supplements.com "Roger Schlafly" wrote in message ... http://news.scotsman.com/health.cfm?id=716512003 MILK and butter may help protect young children against asthma, scientists said last night. Dutch researchers came to the conclusion after analysing the diets of almost 3,000 two-year-olds. The results were related to the number of children who suffered from asthma at the age of three. Daily consumption of full-cream milk and butter was significantly associated with lower rates of asthma. Similarly incidence of wheeze was lower in children who consumed dairy products, including yoghurt and chocolate milk, every day. |
