OT bounty packs rant and vent

I can't say I do either, lmao!!! Let me try and make sense of you, are you saying that you don't need child benefit and would be happy for Charlie to take it back and give you bigger deductions in your PAYE? The reason being why? We don't *need* it...we'd prefer that maybe Charlie the Great look into giving deductions for charity offerings. We'd get more from deductions (that are across the board) than the bits from child benefit. I think getting money directly is great :-) No, it's great...but personally, we'd like less tax to pay overall :-). It's not at all like WIC, because they do give free formula don't they? I'm not sure about that... Here the child benefit can be used for whatever.........................oh ok, I think I get you now. But you know I reckon that parents that use the child benefit money misguidedly are spending it on cigarettes and alcohol, the formula being the last thing on their mind. Well, yeah, there's that. That and those durned fancy 3 wheel strollers, that shouldn't be on Grafton Street (unless they're navigating the perils of Smithfield snort). Ours is just added into the family budget, apart from December's which goes on toys mainly! BTW I'm tired too so most probably not making much sense. Nah, we're of the same mind...we just can't type it :-). -- 'Tis Herself |

Please forgive my ignorance, but who the h*ll is Charlie? I didn't want to look completely stupid so I googled a bit and learned that your Prime Minister is named Bertie and your President is named Mary.... So who is Charlie?? The Finance Minister who has just recently issued the Budget 2004. His name is Charlie McCreevy. http://www.budgetforum.com/ http://www.fiannafail.ie/minister_cv_37.htm -- Marie Mum of 3 DD born 03/98, DS1 born 11/99 DS2 born 08/03 |
