Default Colostrum production early in pregnancy?

I am about 12 weeks along by my doctor's "feel"-based estimate, 13 or
14 weeks along according to my false/positive HPT estimate, and this
morning, I noticed I'm already leaking colostrum. I stopped
breastfeeding DD around the time I got pregnant (so 3 months ago or so,
but I'd been down to one small feeding a day by about 4 1/2 months
ago), but I am quite sure I'm producing more colostrum right now than I
did by the very end of my first pregnancy. The websites I looked at
indicated this is something that should kick in closer to 20-25 weeks.
So, is production this early normal? Should I be concerned?

Thanks.

I would be more concerned if you didn't produce colostrum given your
breasts were only recently producing milk. I bet those websites you have
looked at do not take this into consideration.

Although it may not be typical, I betcha it is perfectly normal.

Are you sure it's colostrum, and not just milk?

Well, I guess I'm not sure. It looked thicker and yellowish... by the
end of breastfeeding, my milk was pretty watery to the point of almost
appearing blue. Why do you draw this distinction? I know I fully
stopped producing milk, at least for a couple months there.

Well it just seems like it would be pretty normal to me to have an increase
in milk production due to all those hormones, especially since you only
stopped feeding 3-4 months ago.
