Default Hair growth question

My daughter - 9 months old still doesnot have a lot of hair on her
head. The hair amount is almost same as she was born with and its quite
thin and sparse. Can parents let us know any remedy for this? When do
most kids get dense hair growth in their head?
Thansk in advance.

Very much depends on the kid. You can have a child born with enough hair to
tie back (although this sometimes falls out and may or may not grow back
quickly) and I've known a 3.5 year old who still had a very thin crop, which
didn't grow past her ears.
Both of my children increased the density/length of hair between 10 months
and 15 months, and they were born with a certain amount.

Why do you need a remedy?

When do
most kids get dense hair growth in their head?

It's highly variable. Some kids are born with a
thick head of hair, and others won't have a thick head of
hair until they're two years old or more. As far as I
know, there's not a thing you can or should do about it.

Best wishes,

I think it depends on what kind of hair the parents have - if you have thick
dark hair, the baby will probably have more hair earlier. I have fine
strawberry blonde hair, and my daughter was born with "peach fuzz". She
didn't get any significant amount of hair until she was about 1 1/2. Now
she is 8, and she has the most gorgeous hair I have ever seen (I'm even
jealous...)

The remedy is time. By the time she is two, she is likely to have more
hair. By the time she is 5, she'll likely have a full head of it. There is
nothing you need to do. Some kids are born looking like mop heads, while
others look like cue balls until well into their 2nd year.

And having birthed two fair-headed children with a medium amount of hair,
I'd take a cue ball anyday. Has no-one ever heard of a hair graze?

Yep, you could say it's like a carpet burn on your downstairs. ;-) I had a
labial scratch with DS too, which may have been caused by a fingernail. I
guess I can't complain, since those heal very quickly and I escaped
c-sections, tears or episiotomy - but it hurt muchly when I tried to pee for
the first day and a half.
And remember Seinfeld's soup Nazi? I encountered the Ural Nazi, a nurse who
showed extreme reluctance to dispense me urinary alkanisers after she looked
at my chart and saw I had no stitches. Next time (if there is one) I'll plan
a homebirth and stockpile the damn Ural.
I'd sooner birth a cue-ball over a mop-head anyday, even if the cue-ball was
10lb and the mop-head 6.
