The first place I would find is an ethnic Indian (East)
grocery store. There is a fairly strong Indian community
in Houston, so one should not be hard to find.

I've never heard of fenugreek for a urine infection, but, it seems to be
pretty widely available, at least in my part of the USA, I don't know which
of these chains are national, but I've seen it in "Super Supplements", a
couple of different alternative pharmacies, TLC and Phamucopia (or something
like that). I'm pretty sure I've also seen it in regular drug store, they
often have large sections of supplements, the organisation of them can be a
bit odd, so it might be alphabetical, or you might find fenugreek in a
women's section.

I'm not in the States, but in Canada, it can be found at any health
food/supplement store.
The only place other than that, here, anyways, is the Superstore grocery
store. I don't know if there's a Superstore down in the States, but I found
it in the Asian food aisle, but, unfortunately, it was the seeds, and quite
frankly, I don't know what on earth to do with these rock-hard little
seeds... They don't care much for the food processor, that's for sure!
The capsules, I've found, can be found at any health food/supplement store.
I would recommend the cranberry juice for a urine infection.
I had a HORRIBLE UTI shortly after DD1 AND DD2 were born. I was on
antibiotics of some sort and found that the cranberry juice helped a lot.
This was a horrible UTI, like to the point where I would run to the
bathroom, turn on the warm water in the tub, strip down and had to pee in
the warm water, as it helped feel just a tiny bit better. It was really,
really bad.

Cranberry is very good, and the combination of fenugreek and cranberry
is even better. Fenugreek is in Denmark considered good for infections -
no-one knows the use for nursing mothers LOL

Houston has a Whole Foods (3 locations, in fact). You can easily get
it there. The best fenugreek extract is Mom's Milk by Motherlove and
whole foods carries it along with many other varieties.

I dont know about UTI, but it is also good for white discharge
(Leucorrhoea)
