Movie review: Ray

Jamie Fox did a spectacular job as Ray Charles.
The drug use in the film was difficult to watch... likewise the scene
with Ray's little brother. Loved his mother's attitude. The glimpse
into the southern black culture of the 1930's through 1970's were
asides but very interesting. I wonder how realistic they look to those
who grew up like Ray Charles.

Brian and I both thought it was a great film although a bit long (2.5
hours). The last 20 minutes or so seemed thrown together but the first
2 hours made it worth seeing. Not for younger kids because of the drug
use (shooting up) and sex scenes.

Are you one of *those* who will tell the whole story in the movie theatre or
on the couch at home if you have seen it before? mmmmm?
