(x-posted) Dishwasher recommendation needed please...

I'm glad it didn't damage anything else. Did you get another
dishwasher yet?
I'm too paranoid to even leave the crockpot on all day if we're not
home. I have issues with fire hazards!!

Yes we did. We called the company that made the dishwasher and they
instructed the store we bought it at to give us another one. It's a nicer
one than we had, it's much quieter, lol. I have a fire paranoia myself
especially with the Christmas tree and lights. DH will leave them on all
night, but it scares me too much. I finally got through to him this year
though. Someone sent him an email showing how fast a tree can go up in
flames if you don't keep water in it (we have a real tree). I think it
showed him that I wasn't just paranoid. Silly man.

There's no way I could ever use a crockpot if I had to be home all day for
it. I thought it was supposed to be for slow cooking all day when we're at
work.

Well I *know* what it's for, but I don't use it for that purpose lol I
wish I could change that about myself, I know life would be much
easier for us all.
