good online sites for toy purchases
"Ericka Kammerer" wrote in message . .. Very odd. I have to say that I order a *lot* from amazon, and haven't ever had that sort of problem. I'm not suggesting that you made a mistake somehow--it sure sounds like they screwed up, which is totally unacceptable. I'm just a tad surprised, given my track record. Best wishes, Ericka I've also had good experience with Amazon. |

Best wishes, Ericka I've also had good experience with Amazon. There are two kinds of Amazon orders - some of them are handled by contractors and it stands to reason that some are better than others. New books and things bought new are regular internet purchases. But if you buy used, sometimes there are little glitches, and if two people order the same item, it may be that one of them gets back ordered. It's more like eBay. Maybe that's the difference. |

Best wishes, Ericka Yep - specifically checked on that before placing the order because drop-shipping is where it can easily go pear-shaped. Sounds like it was a bit of an unusual situation where their database did not catch up with reality. cheers Leah |

I know, but the items are clearly labeled whether they're something sold and shipped by amazon or something from a third party seller. Best wishes, Ericka |

I have heard that sometimes if they have a run on something, the database updates can lag enough to create problems. At any rate, it doesn't really matter how unusual it is if you got caught up in it! Best wishes, Ericka |

I hope you lay your hands on the book by some other method soon! Best wishes, Ericka |

At the time the order is confirmed, the database should have been updated with the sale. Jeff Best wishes, Ericka |
