Default Sensory Integration Disorder

If anyone has a child who has been diagnosed with Sensory Integration Disorder
or Sensory Defensiveness would you please email me. Madison was recently
diagnosed with a mild case of sensory defensiveness. At first we just thought
it was just her being weird about not wanting to wear shoes and socks (she's
always loved being naked), but I had her evaluated after she started having
major tantrums about shoes, socks, and clothing on a daily basis. Had I not
been teaching Special Ed. I probably wouldn't have thought about the
possibility of it being SID. She is receiving OT once a week now and has made
some progress in the past few weeks. She will probably have to go to OT for
another 2-3 months. The occupational therapist said it is good we caught it
while she is young because younger children usually show quicker progress.

Thank You,
Andrea
