Heather Lisbeth was born Oct 20th at 9:38am. She was 9lbs 5oz!

Labor started around 8:30pm the previous night and there was no break for
me. DH and I stayed home and walked around the neighborhood until 3am when
we decided it was time to go to the hospital. My dilation pretty much
matched the time 4-4, 5-5, etc. At 8am I agreed it was time to break my
water and get into the birthing pool.

It was intense. I was exhausted from laboring all night and the
contractions were coming on heavy and frequent. Being in the pool really
helped! I moved around however I wanted (most of the time on my knees
hanging over the edge) and the water helped with the pain.

When she was born it was so peaceful. The midwife put her on my chest and
we just sat in the warm water all looking at each other. She never cried.

A waterbirth was the best thing I could have ever done! She's so calm, I
didn't tear, I could move around easily and not be stuck in a bed on my back
and the birth was just so amazing and peaceful.

Thanks for those that shared your stories! I wouldn't have had it any other
way!
