Default HELP! Autism/ABA Information in Westchester/Tri-State New York City Area?!

Hello,

My 5-year-old son was diagnosed with autism a few weeks ago. We are
moving to tri-state area around NYC for job relocation, but have not
decided the location. Does someone know any school districts in
tri-state area/westchester country that provide / support ABA (Applied
Behavior Analysis) through their Special Eductation? Is there a
parents group/forum that advocate and promote discussion /
collaboration with schools?

Thank you very much for your information. I greatly appreciate your
help.

John

John, the NYS Department of Education website provides a list of state
approved schools under IDEA. Here are some links:

I also suggest that you contact the Westchester Board of Cooperative
Educational Services (BOCES) for more information. They should be able
to provide you with a list of schools.

Westchester is a great county and has some really remarkable programs
outside of the school system that can supplement your child's edcuation
and socialization.

If you want information regarding Nassau County, email me.

John---really do email me...I spoke with a friend who is in Westchester
and there are issues I want to discuss with you.
