While no-spanks have endlessly debated obscure and largely irrelevant
self-serving no-spank research, the Foundation for Child Development's
Child Well-Being Index reveals an "educational flatline" has existed
for the past 30 years! Despite glib promises of future improvement in
test scores, in the public mind, the domination of education by liberal
white females, coupled with removal of prayer and the paddle from the
classroom, equals no growth in educational achievement in math and
reading. Meanwhile, as the percentage of young adults with
undergraduate degrees has increased, the pay gap between bachelor
degrees and high school diplomas has decreased!

We haven't found anyone to debate with that didn't fail in the first
round. It's quite boring, really. Take you for example.

the Foundation for Child Development's
Child Well-Being Index reveals an "educational flatline" has existed
for the past 30 years!

Well, who are they, for goodness sakes? Not a right wing thunk tank
batch of losers are they?

Hmm...here they are. Seems odd they would open their comments on the
subject with this comment, of paddling and prayer are going to be indicted:

"

2006 Child Well-Being Index (CWI) Results

According to the 2006 Child Well-Being Index (CWI), one of the nation’s
most comprehensive measurements of trends in the quality of life of
children and youth, America has made great strides since 1975 in the
well-being of children in many important areas but one: Education. "

"Great strides?" Without the paddle and prayer? Couldn't be. Not
according to lil 'o'

Gee. lil 'o', I guess these aren't the right wing extremist losers I
thought they might be give your diatribe. In fact they have a four areas
of reform they recommend...not one of which is prayer or paddle related,
I notice.....

"we have selected four reforms that we believe hold great promise for
improving achievement over the next decade and beyond. These include
preK-3 implementation; charter schools; national standards,
curriculum, and tests; and the training of high quality teachers."

In fact they are saying the same things approximately that other
education analysts have said.

http://www.fcd-us.org/pdfs/TheEducat...insSawhill.pdf

Despite glib promises of future improvement in
test scores, in the public mind, the domination of education by liberal
white females, coupled with removal of prayer and the paddle from the
classroom, equals no growth in educational achievement in math and
reading. Meanwhile, as the percentage of young adults with

How does a higher percentage of young adults with graduate degrees
increasing wash with a "educational flatline?"

They seem to link any deficiency to "preK-3 implementation; charter
schools; national standards, curriculum, and tests; and the training of
high quality teachers" needs.

Which of these is prayer or paddle?

I got no hits on searching the document on those terms, nor for that
matter on "women" or "female." Apparently you have references the wrong
study. 0:-

And you'd be pleased to note that men are very well represented in
decision making and policy setting in the public education system.

Even the authorship of this paper was shared equally by gender, ...

"The Education Flatline: Overview
Ron Haskins and Isabel Sawhill"

.... unless you think Isabel is a man's name.

Seems odd you blame "problems" on women.

Can we assume this carries a message about you, in some way?

Apparently no one wants to step forward and defend 30 years of failed
educational policy that began about the time the paddle disappeared
from the schoolhouse. Smart move, though, since the only defense is
the insanity defense.

Never mind that the flagship of no-spank is sinking. It really doesn't
matter very much if schools are turning out students who charge
customers over $4,334.33 for a few hamburgers, preventing the family
purchasing the hamburgers on their bank card from paying their mortgage
on time, or if teachers are giving students 1-on-1 lessons in sex
education!

No-spanks are fiddling while Rome crumbles. Be warned, the day is fast
approaching when all that idiotic self-serving no-spank research won't
be worth the paper it's printed on!

Then perhaps you'd be willing to help the process along by addressing
the research that LaVonne recently mentioned, INTERNATIONAL in scope.

Seems it found a strong correlation between bad outcomes and spanking
across cultural and ethnic groups.

And you open with a pointless lie.

The debate isn't endless. It's winding down everywhere, and this model
is proof.

Go back two years and count the number of pro spank posters. Then count
the present ones. In fact, count BOTH sides, since there is obviously
less and less to argue about, since the research is playing out as
correct where it counts. In the homes and in the schools.

Where did you get the idea paddling was causing school failures, by the way?

One of the most pressing concerns is the immense influx of immigrants
over the past 3 - 4 decades. Almost without a break, one wave after
another comes to us. The greatest problem, education to prepare them to
become one of our society and acculturation to overcome some of the
unacceptable practices they bring to this society.

It's amazing that someone that can keyboard passable English can't
think. But there you go.

I wonder where she has been since I was willing to debate this study
with her. Maybe she want to debate the Embry study too. ;-) You know
the study where you got caught lying about the rate of spankings and
street entries.

Seems it found a strong correlation between bad outcomes and spanking
across cultural and ethnic groups.

Hihihi! Correlation???

And you open with a pointless lie.

Well, we already established who the liars a you and LaVonne! ;-)

Mmm...she issued a general invitation. Unless you wake up and TELL HER
what you wish to debate about from the study, I guess she is waiting.

So....Liar?

No, I didn't lie, you did.

There were no spankings.

Yes. You know and social science based studies with cause and effect
proven? Please show one. It would be a major breakthrough in social
science research with human beings.

Well, we already established who the liars a you and LaVonne! ;-)

You simply came to harrass or you would have prepared something to
debate about and begun.

You are a coward, and proven liar.

What part of the International study did you open debate with, Doan?

She put a lot of the information up. You are lying, as usual.

So....Liar?

Yes you are a liar as I have proven numerous times!

No, you haven't proven any such thing even once.

You just didn't like the information I provided.

Maybe she want to debate the Embry study too. ;-) You know
the study where you got caught lying about the rate of spankings and
street entries.

No, I didn't lie, you did.

Liar!

There were no spankings.

Sure. Go for it.

You still don't want to debate. You want to scream "STUPID" and "LIAR"
every time you wish to dodge.

Seems it found a strong correlation between bad outcomes and spanking
across cultural and ethnic groups.

Hihihi! Correlation???

Yes. You know and social science based studies with cause and effect

Showing you can't meet the challenge I just offered you?

Show a human study with a cause and effect outcome.

And you open with a pointless lie.

Childish nonsense like this is all you have.

I'm here. Why not debate that international finding on the use of CP
with me?

You can't, that's why you are dodging.

respond to a part or in full?

Standing outside and making faces and playing monkeyboy games just shows
what a coward you are.

Which of the claims from the study are you interested in debating?
