Knee Pads for Crawlers?
DD (7.5 months) wont' stop crawling We have hardwood floors in most of the
house so her poor little knees aren't in danger of rug burn but they are sooo red and I'm afraid they are going to start bothering her. Has anybody bought those knee pads for babies? Where (online) can I get them? Used something from home to protect little knees? With DD #1, she was crawling in cold weather so she was always in pants, but it is already so hot and summer has not even begun, so pants is not an option for her hot little body. Any suggestions? Thanks Linda Mommy to Sophie, 3 years and Eva, 7 months |

Sorry, but pants was going to be my suggestion. |

IMO, let her be. She'll complain if it bothers her and if that happens, put her in pants. -- JennP. mom to Matthew 10/11/00 EDD #2 10/24/04 remove "no........spam" to reply |

You can cut the feet off some socks to pull up to her knees. I've never tried it, but I've heard it from a bunch of people. Denise |

But if you want to buy something, One Step Ahead sells knee protectors: http://www.onestepahead.com/jump.jsp...9&cha nge=117 -- Jodi SAHM to Oliver (3 years, 2 months) & Arwen (12 months) |

We used those terry cloth wrist bands used for tennis or other sports. Had tons around the house. They seemed to work. Any suggestions? Thanks Linda Mommy to Sophie, 3 years and Eva, 7 months |

DD (now 11 months and walking more than crawling) never crawled on hands and knees except on the bed. We actually didn't know she *could* crawl that way until she crawled across the bed. She has an odd little 3-limbed scoot, which has both palms, one foot, and a thigh touching the floor. We figured it was because hands and knees was uncomfortable on the hardwood floors. If your DD has sore knees, she'll find some other way to get around. Phoebe -- yahoo address is unread; substitute mailbolt |

Knee Pads for Crawlers?
My second one insisted on crawling up and down the concrete driveway
instead of on the lawn because apparently she didn't like the way the lawn felt. Eventually she started leaving bloody knee prints. She never complained or stopped crawling either. Didn't faze her. Some folks just have a high threshold of pain from early on. Much later, when she was about 13, I was walking back from the pool and I saw that her back was bloody. She'd skinned all the skin of the tops of each vertebrae doing a back flip off the diving board. "JennP" wrote: "GoofeeGyrl" wrote in message ...
