Ahhh back to normal!
Its a relief.....the silly season is over.........childs safely back at her
school........managed to ignore New Years Eve (which I hate).........Catching up with the posts, Xmas seems a pretty stressfull time for just about anybody who posted here, financial, ex partners, visitation......maybe we should all opt out next year!!! maybe a fortnight in Goa. Andrew, Glad your child was delivered home safely, I recognise so many of the things you go through its strange, anyway we did Butlins in Minehead with my friend and his kid, (we usually do something exciting in the summer and Butlins in the winter), it was a great way to avoid that depressing time between Xmas and New Year and the kids had a ball, the accomodation was OK and it was bloody cheap, also it has the added bonus that there is Dunster and its medieval castle up the road and a steam train that runs from Minehead to someplace near Taunton, not that I could get my 4 year old out of the resort. Its definatly worth a visit and there its cool to get a beer sit at the bar and still see your kids doing the activities. We went to Euro Disney last summer, stayed in the resort hotel (Cough £1,100 for three nights!), but to be frank we seem to have a better time in Minehead. |

Hmm, your post somewhat puts me off EuroDisney (strange isn't it?) but I like the sound of the Butlins you go to. Also as our kids are round about the same age, and I like the sound of sitting having a beer with an adult (not that I have many with my child, she falls over after the first couple of lagers! LOL) I may well ask for an invite the next time you go round there. It could turn out that all parties despise each other on sight and spend time at opposite ends of the camp but at the moment crashing HanK's next Butlins party armed with active child sounds like a good plan to me. When time comes if OK with you give us a shout. Andrew |

HanK, been to butlins and haven type hols and I'm up for it if you are going
in a group with your kids. We'd have adult company and then our own space if we wanted it. Do let us know. I know I'm sad but I've just saved my tokens from the Sun newspaper to go to a holiday with my kids. 38 pounds not bad for a long weekend or a midweek break huh?? Still running if anyone else is interested in doing it? Did it last year and went to Cleethorpes (don't laugh) and had a fabulous laugh with the kids. (Yep went with the kids alone last year 'cos not the ex's type of holiday) hahaha. Col x "Andrew" wrote in message ... "HanK" wrote in message ...
