Default Poop question (yet another one!)

DD (nearly 8 months) has been off-colour for about a week. Last Wednesday
she refused to nurse, and was off solids. Thursday she decided to nurse
again, but half-heartedly, and Friday she was back to full on nursing. A
week later, she is willing to take solids again, but only small amounts.
But, she is doing really nasty slimey-not-one-iota-of-curds-or-formed-stuff
poops. She is also down to once a day (from 3-4 times a day before she got
her cold and whatever else it was). If she had a tummy upset (likely, given
I had one), should I give her milk only until her poops regain some form of
normality? She is quite happy on milk only - solids are still just a
plaything for her.

Thanks for any advice,
Cathy

Oops, I should have added that her poop seems to be really burning her
bottom, which is another reason I am concerned. She 'went' overnight a few
days ago, and it seemed to literally burn a hole in her skin. Luckily that
has just about healed now, but the poor thing was in pain for a while.

Make it milk only for a week, then see how she is.

Thank you. That was my gut instinct (no pun intended). Today she seems
much better - back to good old curdles, so I feel much happier. Back to
solids tomorrow I suspect, as it has been a week now of basically milk only.
