Default FDA ADVISES AGAINST BUYING ACCUTANE ONLINE

Crackbaby said:
it would be terrible if the FDA banned ithe drug because some people

are too stoopid to use it correctly.

You raise a very interesting point, Crackbaby.

Both in the breast implant and pharmaceutical history, the
manufacturers have hidden the evidence of the dangers of their drugs
and devices.

They also hired public relations front groups like ACSH.org and
junkscience.com and other quacky fronts.

They purchased the loyalty of so called "scientists" by funding
studies as long as they got the results they wanted. The world is now
full of tales of the industry buying influence ... just recently the
head of the FDA type government agency in China got sentenced to death
for not protecting the consumer ...

Just like we found with Vioxx and breast implants and agent organge
and perhaps Accutane ... early studies revealed the potential dangers
but the public wasn't warned until the human experimentation reached a
cacaphony level that attention was put on the product.

You know Coleah Penley Ayers ... who works now directly with Polevoy
on their "I Hate Ilena Rosenthal & You Should Too" Campaign???

She owned a website where she put all of the Dow Documents that had
revealed what Dow knew and covered up.

BINGO! One day ... that site comes down, plus 2 other supporting of
the breast implant industry ...

and SIMULTANEOUSLY -- she takes over as my Nemesis #1!

www.BreastImplantAwareness.org/coleah.htm

It was immediately after Barrett & POlevoy & Grell all had lost at the
Superior Court level and were appealing their cases ... early 2002.

Other women have taken down revealing websites like Coleah after
receiving secret settlements with clauses silencing the women. Any
deal could be made therein and there would be no public record of it.

Maybe the needed scrutiny will be put on pharmaceuticals now ... much
like the years of constant scrutiny by the quackbusters ... who are
totally anti-science. They are closed minded bigots who sue and defame
those they disagree with, and act out like Polevoy is doing here,
after years of his attacks against others comes back to haunt him.

http://www.BreastImplantAwareness.or...WatchWatch.htm

Vast amount of drugs are being sold on the internet ... Polevoy
acneclinic site's first link upper left is to portals to buy Accutane
and anything else. I find it enlightening to watch his repeated claim
that his portal to online drug sales doesn't exist.

God bless you Crackbaby ... sounds like you've got a clear head on you
....

Here's a message I got last nite:

FDA Launches Web Page To Discourage Consumers From Purchasing Acne
Drug Accutane Online

http://www.kaisernetwork.org/daily_r...omen.cfm#43951

[Mar 30, 2007]
FDA on Wednesday launched a Web page aimed at discouraging
consumers from purchasing the acne drug isotretinoin, sold by Roche
under the brand name Accutane, on the Internet, Dow Jones/Marke****ch
reports (Corbett Dooren, Dow Jones/Marke****ch, 3/28).

Studies have shown that isotretinoin can cause severe side effects in
pregnant women, such as birth defects and fetal death, and also might
cause depression and suicide. FDA in 2004 released data that showed
strict measures enacted to reduce the number of birth defects related
to isotretinoin had little effect on the number of women who take the
drug while pregnant.

The agency on Dec. 30, 2005, began to register physicians,
prescription drug wholesalers, pharmacists and women into iPledge,
which requires that women submit two negative pregnancy tests before
they can receive an initial prescription for isotretinoin.

In addition, women must undergo a pregnancy test before each monthly
refill and must agree to either use two forms of birth control at the
same time or to abstain from intercourse for one month prior to
treatment with isotretinoin, during treatment and for one month after
treatment has ended, according to FDA. Women also must sign a document
to acknowledge that isotretinoin can increase risk for birth defects,
depression and suicidal thoughts. About 165,000 people have registered
with iPledge, which FDA administers jointly with companies that sell
the drug (Kaiser Daily Women's Health Policy Report, 9/12/06).
According to Dow Jones/Marke****ch, the Web page comes in response to
FDA officials' concerns that some people are purchasing the drug on
the Internet to avoid participation in iPledge. The Web page says that
isotretinoin should be taken only under the supervision of a physician
and pharmacist.

In addition, the Web page provides links to other information about
the drug, including a link to iPledge. The Web page is designed to
open when people conduct online searches for Accutane, as well as its
three generic versions -- Amnesteem from Mylan Laboratories, Claravis
from Barr Pharmaceuticals and Sotret from Ranbaxy Laboratories --
according to FDA. As of September 2006, no pregnancies had been
reported among women participating in iPledge, Dow Jones/Marke****ch
reports (Dow JonesMarke****ch, 3/28).
