Potty Training Question (Cloth undie question)

I am getting to think it is time for Bonnie to start feeling when she is wet
so I am thinking of switching her to Cloth training undwear but am having a
hard time finding the stuff that I need. I wanted to get the Cloth Undies
that had Plastic lining it already but the walmart near my home only has 4T
WAY too big. They had the 2T Undies with the thick middles without the
lining and those would work except they did not have any Plastics that said
the right weight on them.. the largest pack they had went to 24# that is
Bonnies weight now and I would hate to buy them and have them last only a
few months.
My friend said I could just do the underwear without the liners but I am
worried that Bonnie will pee/poop while on the couch and we can not afford
to get the couch cleaned to prevent it from smelling any worse then it
already does. (previous owner had a dog) Actualy if I could afford to do so
I would get a reg couch and toss this one because it is a pull out... sorry
off topic.. hehehe

Anyway I know Bonnie is young to Potty train yet but she has been showing
signs of being ready forever and want to test the cloths to see if they help
her know when she is wet or not. If she poops in her diaper she will do
almost anything to get out of it usualy...
I know Pullups are not a good option but I may need to do those if I can not
find the right stuff..

1.) Do plastics usualy run bigger then they say.
2.) Have you seen the kind with the plastics built in for 2T?
3.)I will have to hand wash all the cloth stuff most of the time and give it
a good machine wash when we go to do laundry so i need at least 6 pairs to
circulate.. Diapers will stay for nights until she is trained.. may swap to
pullups arround 3 if still needed.

We just potty trained the twins (32 months old) this month using plain
cotton underwear and it took 8 days (actually less for Katerina). One
week after declaring them day-trained, Katerina is now completely
trained, night and day. Joshua is starting to stay dry during nap but
is still wetting his pullup at night.

They didn't pee on the couch. The carpet, their little chairs, the
kitchen floor, but not the couch. Can you not keep her off the couch
for the first couple of days?

Do you have a "Neat Sheet" to put over the couch for during the training?

Did you try looking online for the plastic covers? I honestly can't say I
ever used them with training,just went straight for the undies and bought
tons of them!

My DD is only 3 weeks past her second birthday and is showing signs of being
fully toilet trained within a matter of days rather than weeks. So I
wouldn't say that Bonnie is necessarily too young :-).

We're using Pull-ups as a stop-gap measure until I get the training pants I
ordered. So far so good - only one "accident" in the last two days (when
she was at my aunt's house and self-conscious about using the potty). She
was even dry on getting out of bed this morning, then proceeded to pee and
poo in the potty, both on her own initiative. I'm hoping that I may even
get to return the training pants unused :-).

When we started training the kids...the sitter first recommended those
little plastic panty things to us....they were horrible....it was summer
time....the baby's behind would break out something fierce....they smelled
bad and IME they still leaked....we ended up with some regular panties and
underpants for the kids and when we started doing night time training, we
bought some of those with the thicker middles...they kind of remind me of
thermal underwear on the sides.

I would rec just using the regular panties on Bonnie. Don't worry about the
couch...we never really ran into that kind of thing with either of ours.
