Default Refusing bottle. How long to try out different nipples?

DD was taking the Playtex Naturalatch nipples at first. DH says she was
taking less and less EBM with each feed. So, I tried that other Playtex
nipple recommended in a recent thread. I left DH with DD for 1 1/2 hours.
DH said she screamed the entire time and screamed worse when he put the
nipple in her mouth.

I bought a sample pack of Playtex nipples, which includes three different
types. The LC at my HMO said not to use the Playtex nipples that are flat
on the tip. Should I leave that one out as a last resort? Anyone have luck
on it?

How often should we try out the nipples before declaring them a failure?
Once, twice?

How much time should DH try a nipple before trying a different one? 10
minutes, 1 hour?

How frequently should we be training DD? We've been doing it twice a week.
I go back to work next month. Should we be doing it everyday until we find
one she likes?

Finally, if all else fails, how long does it take for a baby to take EBM via
syringe or cup? The dcp we have is very good. However, I don't want to
compromise her time with the other kids, if at all possible. So, the
faster, more efficient method is preferred. Do the babies take the
alternate methods screaming or are they pretty good about it? I want a
method that she will do willingly.

We used the flat one. It worked fine for us.

I don't know. I honestly can't remember what we did with DD.

I wouldn't let the baby get to frustrated. What other things is he
trying? Did he warm the milk way up? Try distracting baby with a video
while feeding her?

You may want to up it to 4-5 times a week.

Thats the only one any of my babies would take.

That is the one Luke used. We didn't have problems.

How long is she away from you? If it was 3-4 hours I'd be tempted to try
one nipple that whole time. If she didn't eat, she could when you got home.

I wanted to make sure things went well with Luke so we gave him a bottle
once a day 5 days a week.

We got about 2 ounces into Hunter by using the Playtex bottle with the
rubber sippy cup nipple. He chewed the nipple, the sitter squeezed the bag
to get the milk in. She didn't have luck with syringe or regular cup. He
could drink from a regular cup (small sips at 6 months) bur refused milk out
of it.

Right now, we are only practicing twice a week. Midweek, I am home. On the
weekend, I go out with DS about an hour or two for mommy and me time. DH
feeds her then. When I go back to work, I will be away from DD about 10
hours a day, three days a week.

Okay. We may try to increase the frequency of our training sessions.
