Lisa had her surgery on Friday. She's doing ok pain-wise... some
discomfort at the suture sites and some gas issues (it was a laproscopic
surgery) but all in all, she's doing ok and looking forward to being
pain free. As I think back, this kid's been in pain with this for many,
many years. She is looking forward to ... solid foods today and a
shower! Her boyfriend's been over every evening after work for a couple
of hours so that I can get other things done... nice kid.

I haven't been able to mess with the wedding pics or finish a couple of
little projects around the house. I'm rehabbing an old metal typing
table. New paint (spring green) and I'm painting a metallic silver/dull
silver chess/checkers board on top. The checkers/chess pieces will fit
nicely in the tiny front drawer. I don't know how people managed to type
on that! Maybe I'll get to finish it today.

That's what's happening at my house... how's everyone's weekend going?

And thanks for the jokes, Z. Keep'em coming!

Hiya 'Kate,

Glad to hear Lisa is still doing well with her recovery from surgery.

Your restoration project sounds like fun! I am a mean checker player ya
know! Chess ...haven't played in a while but thought I was pretty
clever at it grin

At my house, I'm all alone , taking advantage of Mari working all the
time, and Sara gone for the day to a christening for one of her B/F's
cousins child. Jaime, I'll P/U at 5 p.m.

Stereo is playin "turn up the volume" ! and house is getting much
needed attention, I am getting a full body work out ! Feels good I
might add ! smile

He (Z) never did answer me about wether that egg was a 3 or 5 minute
egg LOL!!!!!!

hugs to Lisa and her mommy!

I suck at both but it doesn't stop me from playing. The table looks
awesome. I have everything out to finish it but I haven't started on it
again 'cause I'm a bit tired and achy.

........And do you also suck at Texas Hold'em ?

My mother always said, "Gyms are stupid... just do some housework!"

How right she was ! smile

Ah. So why do I hard boil an egg 7 minutes? Have I been wasting time?

yep ...either you want a hard cooked egg or a rubber ball your choice
wink but I must admit ..if it has anything to do with sex go for the
7 minutes! grin

hugs to Lisa and her mommy!

Bev

Thanks!
She's doing ok still... every once in awhile she has sharp pain. I say
"gas". She says, "It's the SAME PAIN and I'm tired of being in PAIN when
will I ever be OUT OF PAIN????" and gets a little upset.

'Kate

I can imagine she is just sick and tired of it. Having pain for so long
and being so young totally sucks. Us older folks expect this to start
happening , we have beat our bodies up for enough years to warrent
being in pain but for a young person to suffer like she has for as long
as she has just isn't fair.

I truly hope the pain subsides and she does feel beter soon.....

more hugs to you both!

last even that long!

Nope - low simmer for 8 minutes, or bring 'em to a boil, turn off the heat,
cover the pot and let 'em sit for about 20 minutes.

No green around the yolk that way

hugs to Lisa and her mommy!

Bev

Yeah, Prozac can help bring that about, too. Not that I'd know that
first-hand or anything...
