Easter Eurodisney (or Butlins)
"Joelle" wrote in message ... May be a bit of a hiccup on that. Daughter says it should only be 'me and daddy' but she may relent later. I think considering the emotional upheaval you have all been through, if your little girl wants Daddy to herself, you should give her that. Along those lines, I think I've finally found someone suitable. Not the guy I was talking about before - I met him the normal way, having pizza and beer with the guys every Friday - even confided to him while I was dating the other guy and finally he asked me out and I think we are good for each other. My kids are just great about him being around, seem to like him. I keep checking with them "Is it okay if he comes along to the movie, comes over..whatever" and they really are fine. And I think, aside from the fact he's a good guy, I did spend nearly 4 years not dating, focusing on them and now they are older and secure in my attention, they can let me have a little life. I think it's kind of how someone people say that if you focus too much attention on little children, picking them up when they cry, letting them in their bed, they will become too dependent on you but what they found is in fact, those children have the confidence to be more dependent..I think for us anyway, focusing on them right after their father's death gave them the confidence when we were all ready for Mom to have a relationship. Well I'm dating but I'm not meeting new people. I've known the guy I'm
dating for a few years. The other one was a new guy? Oh heck, I can't keep everyone's lives straight. Yea I think I mentioned about meeting someone on Fastdater.com - I guess I did meet a lot of men that night! It was fun and I would recommend something like that. However, before my new guy asked me out I had decided I was done with artificial ways to meet men. For me, it put too much pressure on establishing "a relationship" and didn't work. I had decided I wanted a man who knew me to ask me out because he wanted to get to know me better, and lo and behold - someone did! Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, life works out that way and it makes everthing else worth while. Joelle The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page - St Augustine Joelle |

young for eurodisney, what are others opinion? Depends on the kid - at two my daughter loved Disneyland in California but at 6 most things were overwelming for my son. Joelle The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page - St Augustine Joelle |

"Colette Collopy" wrote in message ... Like the eurodisney idea very much but youngest only three and think too young for eurodisney, what are others opinion? I agree, I think at 3 it will be more work than anything else as you will be riding herd on a bunch of wild young kids rather than holidaying, they won't all be able to go on the same rides and they will not get the best of it (I think) till a couple of years later. Now that I know the age of one of your kids (see my earlier reply to your holiday post) it gives me one possible idea. OK, its not that exotic, its not that exciting a destination but just near where I live, along the Purley Way there is a complex with restaurants, a bowling alley, a pub, Pizza Hut, Wacky Warehouse (a kids indoor, safe play area with food and stuff just above the Gypsy Moth pub). Well, the advantage is that from one of the hotels right in this complex you can walk to the Wacky Warehouse (they are next door), the Pizza Hut, take a bus into Croydon and take the kids to Playtown (another similar venue), take the kids bowling (apart from the 3 year old but my 4 going on 5 loves it!) and there are several outdoor playgrounds and woods around. There are also some people in the area that I can personally recommend and vouch for if you wanted to leave the kids with someone for a bit and take some recharge time out yourself. OK, its not the worlds wildest holiday destination (Purley) but it has some advantages in things for the kids. Another thought, how about going and booking into a hotel near LegoLand? LegoLand is brilliant and its focussed very much on kids from 3 to about 10 and no more, I have not seen any wild screaming teenagers there. Also someone once mentioned to me somewhere in Southhampton they like for similar reasons which is apparently even less crowded most of the time Andrew |
