DeLand - The former president of a foster-parent association was found
guilty today of two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

George Allen Goolde, 62, was immediately sentenced to 25 years in prison
on each count, which will be served consecutively.

During the day-long trial, the state presented evidence that showed
Goolde fondled two young boys repeatedly over the course of the year.
Goolde admitted to touching the boys, but said in his defense that the
boys wanted him to do it and that he did not do it to satisfy any sexual
desires.

It took the jury of five men and one woman just 25 minutes to reach a
decision. Circuit Judge James R. Clayton had only two options for
sentencing -- 25 years or life.

Goolde was the president of the Volusia/Flagler Foster-Adoptive Parent
Association.

Defense: Children had sexual 'issues,'
initiated contact with accused parent

By PATRICIO BALONA
STAFF WRITER

DELAND - Children in the care of an Orange City foster father charged
with molestation might have initiated sexual contact and had prior
"issues of acting out sexually," a defense attorney argued today in
the foster father's trial.

George Allen Goolde, 62, is being tried on two charges of lewd and
lascivious molestation of two boys, ages 8 and 11.

In her opening arguments this morning, prosecutor Heatha Ogle said
Goolde systematically molested the boys when putting them to bed. Ogle
said Goolde frequently went into the boys room and put his hands
inside the boys pants and fondled them. Goolde admitted to the crime
when confronted by a Department and Children Families investigator,
Ogle said.

Defense attorney Richard Jackson cited a 2003 DCF report quoting the
children saying they had oral sex with their biological father. He
said the two children had "issues of acting out sexually" before they
came to the Goolde home.

"Occasionally one of the children would take his hands and out it on
(him)," Jackson said in his opening. "But you will hear that it was
something that was not his idea."

Richard Brown, a DCF investigator, said he was aware of sexual
incidents involving the two boys in foster care before they came to
the Goolde home.

Goolde was president of the Volusia/Flagler Foster-Adoptive Parent
Association at the time of his arrest on Nov. 25, 2006.

Man On Trial For Molesting Kids Blames Alleged Victims

POSTED: 4:45 pm EDT July 31, 2007
UPDATED: 5:05 pm EDT July 31, 2007

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A foster father on trial for molesting
children said in court Tuesday that he kids are to blame. George
Goolde's defense said the two young boys wanted it to happen. Late
Tuesday afternoon, the jury found Goolde guilty.

The 62-year-old missionary, school teacher and foster parent could be
headed to prison. Goolde said he was trying to establish a good
relationship with a pair of boys who had emotional and behavioral
issues.

The boy's story, which they first told a DCF investigator in November,
was that Goolde's frequent bedtime backrubs inexplicably turned into
something else.

"Did your father at any time put his hand inside your pants?" the
prosecution asked one of the alleged victims Tuesday.

"Yes."

"Did he put his hand in the front of your pants or the back?"

"Front."

"Did he touch any of your body parts?"

"Yes."

The boys said it happened, a lot, although Goolde testified it was a
total of maybe five times.

"I can tell you, categorically, there was nothing sexual in my mind.
I've been sexually dead for six to seven years," Goolde said.

In fact, Goolde said the touching came as a total surprise, even to
him. He testified that the boys placed his hands in the wrong place
and he just never took his hands away to avoid angering the children.

Goolde could be facing life in prison. There is still one more case
pending with similar allegations from two other children.

Goolde could face more charges on a separate molestation charge,
pending an investigation.

Default Former foster-parent association president guilty of molesting 2 boys

G Why would Kane want to distract from THIS story? LOL

Dan Kane didn't, Greg, but YOU did.
Dan Because it was boys who were molested... not a little girl? LOL

Dan, I can see your outrage that this past president
of a regional foster parent association molested
little boys for YEARS and got 25 in the can.

I think he'll be getting it "in the can" some more.
But he'll probably LIKE IT because of his orientation.

DeLand - The former president of a foster-parent association was
found
guilty today of two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

George Allen Goolde, 62, was immediately sentenced to 25 years in
prison
on each count, which will be served consecutively.

During the day-long trial, the state presented evidence that showed
Goolde fondled two young boys repeatedly over the course of the
year.
Goolde admitted to touching the boys, but said in his defense that
the
boys wanted him to do it and that he did not do it to satisfy any
sexual
desires.

It took the jury of five men and one woman just 25 minutes to reach
a
decision. Circuit Judge James R. Clayton had only two options for
sentencing -- 25 years or life.

Goolde was the president of the Volusia/Flagler Foster-Adoptive
Parent
